Need help - looking for non-slideout camper w/ big bathroom

Hi all. The title pretty much sums it up. We are looking to replace our camper and we don't really have a lot of requirements, but the ones we do have are kind of limiting for sure. Our bucket list is:

- 2010 or newer model
- Long bed
- NON slide out
- 6'4" headroom
- BIG bathroom (preferably "wet")

Does anyone happen to have any suggestions on campers which may meet these criteria? Thanks a lot. Adam

I think you'll need at least a 10 ft camper. I don't know the brands that are currently available though.

'10 Ford F-450, 6.4, 4.30, 4x4, 14,500 GVWR, '06 Host Rainer 950 DS, Torklift Talon tiedowns, Glow Steps, and Fastguns. Bilstein 4600s, Firestone Bags, Toyo M655 Gs, Curt front hitch, Energy Suspension bump stops.

S&S campers I believe make only non-slide campers.
Sold the TC, previous owner of 2 NorthStar pop-ups & 2 Northstar Arrows...still have the truck:

Some of the Bigfoot floorplans would meet your criteria. Like the Northern Lite that was mentioned earlier, they are formed in fiberglass and are all non-slide models. No edge seems to maintain! They can be pricey and hard to find but you're up in the area where they're made so maybe more plentiful there. Don't be afraid to look at ones older than 2010 as they age well.

Thanks for all the replies. We will look into them! A quick glance at the Lance 1055 and it seems to hit all the notes spot on. Pretty much exactly what we are looking for. We don't care about a side-entry (and would prefer a rear door) so it actually works in our favor.

Cabover holds a full size queen mattress and there is no footer on the right side of the bed for feet on tall folks to hit. Skylight over the shower gives that extra required headroom

My buddy that camps with me is 6'6".. no problem in the camper or shower standing up.. LOVE my Lance 1055. As Buzzcut wrote, 2009 was the last year they were produced.

Lance 1055.
Has a dry bath but very roomy. Not sure when they stopped making that model, but any Lance Max models from 2005 and newer are well built.
There are 2 for sale on CL in So Cal right now.

Curious about why newer than 2010? There are some superb older campers available that meet your specs at bargain prices and most have the accoutrements of newer rigs. Maybe you would need to upgrade the TV and stereo, but the rest is pretty much the same.

I just purchased the '95 Lance in my sig and the WH, fridge, microwave, stove, etc. are all pretty much like the ones in my '09 TT. The fridge is actually better and I have fantasized about swapping them, but that would be too much work. Oh well!

I used to have a 1972 Coachman camper. It had a forward wet bath. The front 3' of the camper was dedicated to the bathroom!

It had a drivers side closet, passenger side sink, with the toilet to the passenger side. open the closet door, and it closed off the hallway. The fresh water tank was just below that part of the hallway.

Behind the bath, the dinette was on the passenger side, raised about 6" to accommodate the black water tank. There was no grey tank in that model. Drivers side had the closet, then refrigerator, stove, sink, then a short counter before the door.

Sadly I have not seen any models like it. It was only about 9' long overall at the bed length, so it barely hung out past the fenders. It did have a cabover separated from the bath by 3 orange plexiglass sliding windows. (it was the 70's).

Good luck finding something!

Fred.

I have that model Coachmen. The Coachmen Knight series TC. I looked for one specifically because of the bathroom arrangement. It really does make for a large, comfortable bathroom. I haven't found anything similar in a newer unit. If anyone knows of another I'd like to hear about it myself.

Good luck with your search and let us know what you find.

Adventurer makes a nice size wet bath in their models. Personally, I like a forward bath, which ours is. Less to travel in the middle of the night stepping over the dog. 🙂

All but one. We love our Northern Lite and the wet bath suits our needs but most find it too small. They new models have been changed and not sure it they updated the bath.
