New F150

Could not stand looking at the new trucks so decided to bite the bullet and get a new one for myself!

It was tough to give up the old 97 F150... It was a really good truck and never let me down. I didn't get much for the trade, but it covered the sales tax, so that's something!

Just had to share because I've been looking at everyone else's new trucks for the last 12 years! 🙂

It's got 56 miles on it now... Gotta wait till May to hitch it up, but that will give me time to put the break in miles on it and figure out all the electronics on it! It's a bit overwhelming!

Mine is not the max tow. It is a xlt 4x4 eco off road cc 3.55 locking rear end with skid plates, but not max tow. But all I need for a 4000lb 19' TT . I think it is rated @ 9300lbs but don't have that info in front of me right now. Did not see any max tows on lot.

Yeah, the 2013 deals are what made my mind up ( in Dec ). I got 30% off sticker before my trade amount on my 2004 F150. Great time to buy new as long as you don't plan on trading every year. Mine is "new" even though a 2013.

Congrats on the upgrade :). Our TT seems comparable in weight. I have the 5.0L and can't believe the power when I towed for the first time. You are going to LOVE it when you hitch up to your Egoboost. You won't even feel anything behind you!

Even towing nearly 9k the truck is very close to feeling "sporty" so I think you will be very happy with a 5k trailer.

Played with the "tow/haul" setting going down a good size hill in our neighborhood (not towing anything of course..) and loved how it automatically downshifted so I didn't have to manually downshift or ride the brakes going down the hill.

With the old 97 and 4 speed trans, I'd lock out O/D, but would still have to pretty much ride the brakes down the hill, or shift into 2nd, but that would rev too high and not go fast enough...

The new 6 speed downshifted to 3rd and I didn't have to touch the brakes at all and it maintained 40 mph and was pulling around 3500 rpms. At the bottom of the hill, I gave it some gas and it upshifted and continued on it's way... 🙂

I'm gonna like this thing with the #5000 brick behind I'm very sure! 🙂 🙂

There's a lot to like about that truck. You'll love the integrated brake control and the 6 speed tranny. That Ecoboost will pull your tt like a charm. Break her in and start having fun!
