Hope you like yours as much as I like my 2012 Laramie. Lots of stuff to figure out on the touch screen; I'm still finding stuff. One of my favorites is the rest area finder.

No kidding! When we hit the freeway on the test drive, the salesman said to step on it, we have to get over a lane quickly at the top of the ramp. So I did. Top of the ramp I looked down and the needle was at 75! Ride was incredible compared to my '99 F250 V10 Lariat!
It was a Laramie trim, CC, LB, DRW with 8' box. And a heck of a lot of bells and whistles. Bucket seats w/full console and leather. Black/silver paint with black interior.

Congrats! Looking at pulling the trigger on a '13 Laramie 3500 4x4 w/Cummings-Aisin. Not sure which one CC or Mega. With the 14k GVRW, will have to drop the GVWR (on the reg.) to 12k to keep my combination plates vs commercial plates. Too bad the 2014's won't be available for several months with the air springs on the rear.

A srw to drw dually conversion is a cheap way to do it. Nice to have a new one though ๐Ÿ™‚

Congratulations! I just went looking this week. First at the '13 Chevy 3500 LTZ Duramax, then went down the street to the '13 Ram 3500 Laramie Cummins. The Ram is definitely nicer. However Chevy will be be right back up there again when they make their HD's like the new '14 1500's. They are very similar interiors.

Shoulda got the F350. You know I'm just bustin ya.

You got a wonderful truck. And good for you. You're gunnaa just love it. Best of luck to you.

It's great when you bust your hump all your life. Save what you can, when you can. And finally get the chance to reap the seeds you planted. That's what you get for it. The harder you work, the luckier you get.

Oh...and since I missed it...Happy Birthday.

The specs say that the Cummins has 20 less horses and 160 ft/lbs less torque when paired with the manual tranny. The story is that the clutch can't take the torque, but I find that hard to believe.

Not hard to believe. With the auto's they have torque management so in reality the stick and auto probably put around the same power to the ground until the auto hits 3rd or so and then gets full power.

To make a clutch hold that type of power say 395/850 it would not be very user friendly.
