I just mounted on the outside a Water Heater, Tankless from Amazon.
I bought this TT with a bad Water Heater and was not going to put another 5-6 gal one on for the price they sell for...
I put new hoses and shut-off valve etc $50 Home depot, Heater 189.00.
So here are some pics and let me know what you think.:)

Question:
I have 2005 Four Winds Express Lite 25' and was wondering where is the antennae for TV on top? There is NO antennae.

Sometimes you can find RV water heaters on sell for $240,00, not sure if OPer saved any money on that, wait till a big rain storm and I wonder what will happen to those controls on the water heater, warranty will not fix that one, and yes that is to be mounted inside away from the elements.

I have one of these tankless water heaters that I use when tent and pop up camping. I was thinking about adding a couple screws on the side of the trailer to hook it on for temporary mounting and use for when I want lots of hot water. There are screw slots on the back of the tankless for wall mounting. The outside wall area I was thinking of was where the low point drains are located. I have already added quick connects for hose connections to the low point drains. Cold low point hooked to tankless inlet, tankless outlet hooked up to hot water low point. There is black gas pipe running on that side under the trailer too with a branch going to the kitchen oven. So adding a valve with propane quick connect there is no problem either.

If not enough hot water I might upgrade to This tankless.

At some point we all will be using tankless heaters, the OP is just before his time. Had it been mounted on the back of the rig and had a capped vent , the naysayers would be ohhing and ahhing. I give ya credit for thinking outside the box.

You cheaped out on the vent didn't you. ๐Ÿ˜‰
It's suppose to have a cap on it and the instruction probably not only stipulate which one but also that it should be stainless.

Interesting installation, would be curious how well it needs to be protected from the weather?

Also OP, what size LP tanks do you use? Those tankless heater gulp serious quantities of LP while they're operating, no?

How do you keep rain from going down the flue or entering the enclosure? This looks to be an interior unit.

It's fine as long as it's water proof, and you don't go down the road with it on the outside.

Like the other posters, I too am confused especially if it makes your TT too wide to be street legal and it doesn't look like it's easily removed for traveling. Most TT's are already either 8 or 8'6" so and are at the max or within 6" of the max if 8'.

If that's a residential model, are you getting enough waterflow to light it ?
