I think the dealer has the picture frame adapter in stock but it is the hitch that is the problem right now. I would like a slider just in case I ever find myself in a tight situation, but I may end up having to sacrifice that. Hopefully I will know more by the end of the week.

Well I spoke to the dealer today and the running boards are on, the spray in liner will be done this week and the hitch components have been ordered. Problem is that they don't have a delivery date on them yet. I am hoping that this is just a temporary issue but I do feel a bit nervous after what I read about hitches (or lack of) for these trucks. Oh well, I still have my old truck to get the trailer out of indoor storage next weekend and for the first camping trip in a couple of weeks if need be!
In case this does turn out to be a fiasco, does anyone know of a good manual slider style hitch that will work with the factory picture frame adapter? I would like to have this info in my back pocket in the case that the Ram hitch has a lengthy delay.
Thanks for any help that anyone can provide and wish me luck!
The picture frame adapter is made to accept most all standard 5th wheel hitch mount points.
There are other's on the market now which don't need the picture frame adapter which are really nice if you don't have a hitch yet.
Myself I'd get the picture frame and use my current 20k Reese hitch.

Looks like about 17,500# tow rating and 5600# payload. Nice increase over the older models. My Megacab 3500 has just under 2900# payload.
