Is that traveling down hill or an average speed of 50 mph? I am a part of a few Ram forums and I have never seen anyone get 18 mph on a regular basis. Maybe a one off trip where everything was just right, but not as an average mpg or enough to say it is common.

My 6.4 with 4.10s usually got 13-14 mpg empty (2014 Ram 2500 crew long bed 4x4) and around 7mpg with my camper.
The Cummins is getting 18-19 empty and 11-12 with the little bit I towed the camper (but that was two fairly short trips).
The empty is mixed driving with a good portion on the freeway at 70-75 mph. It has dropped about a 1 mpg with winter blend fuel.

I doubt the cummins would get much better.
