x2.

I was thinking about starting a new thread during my lunchtime run around the neighborhood. . . bright, sunny sky with some pufffy white clouds, gentle cool breeze, warm sun, and 80 degrees at 1:00 pm as I type this. Ahhh. . . the smells of October and November in the air. . .like freshly cut grass! lol

Everybody around here is finally coming out of hiding from the summer sun. The playground around the corner is filled with kids again (after being a ghost town for 10 weeks).

Warm to cool weather and no crowds. . . this is camping season to me.

I'll pass the camping baton back to you in May. . . when we hide our camper in the garage, put our feet in buckets of ice, and sit around fanning ourselves repeating, "Sho'is hawt today. Gonna' be hawt tomorrow, too."

Yep, our last camping trip was last weekend and the pink is going in this weekend.

We camp 6 months out of the year, and the other 6 we prepare. The only good spin on putting away the camper is that it will give us 6 months to save up the funds for all the camping we plan on doing in 2014.

Still sad though.

Still looking forward to some fall camping here in MN and even one winter get away. That is what I love about my teardrop, always ready to nothing to do other than take out the toothpaste and wet wipes and make sure I didn't forget a bottle of water. Call me crazy but I Love the cooler weather.

That sounds heavenly! DH and I are looking for just such a thing, a small winter camper/rolling hotel room to hook up and take off on a whim. In our neck of the woods, we can drag them out on the lake. No campground fees there!

Everyone is different I know. When I was younger (school age) I loved winter. Now that I am in my 50's I hate it with a passion! If it was possible I would join the blessed folks who live in warmth all year long. But my job and family are here in Idaho.....so I pour in the pink and huddle down till the sun comes back out to play.

Honestly, we're looking forward to some time off from camping. There are so many other winter activities to obsess over until the spring thaw. Sleeping overnight on a frozen lake is one of them. The changing of the seasons does have it's advantages.

Agreed. Winterized 3 weeks ago, and although it was bittersweet there is more to life than just RVing (did I just say that?). Yes, the trailer is sleeping until mid-May but so much else to experience. Heading to Lake Louise later this month (US readers: go ahead and google it) and there is something especially entrancing about going to the Symphony on a cold, snowy evening. Living in the northern regions does have it's advantages and the contrast of a cold, crisp winter morning only makes our summer RVing that more special.

Honestly, this time of the year is the only reason we own a TT. Hunting season starts (for us) in 10 days. Food and beverages to load and away we go!

Gave it up after 14 years in the Carolina Mountains with the temps down to -11* at time and mostly 20s/30's. Bought a house and moved back to Florida and even bought a good used 17 ft boat. No more pink stuff. When hot, turn the AC down, when cold, turn it OFF. No more ice/snow or stairs to climb up/down. To dog too doggoned old.

Pink stuff? what's that? Temps here are getting better for desert camping. The beach is getting boring. Sound of the waves day in and day out. Big RV show here in So Cal starting Fri, time to go look at new TT's.

๐Ÿ™‚ Hi, My winterizing consists of parking my trailer in my driveway and connecting my Battery Tender Plus. We are going out later this week for about a week or so. PINK, isn't that something sold at Victoria's Secret? :B
