Timbrens or lower Stableloads?

I've got a 2015 Silverado 2500HD and an 8ft Travel Lite camper. The TC weighs 1650 lbs with standard equipment. I measured the rear receiver from the ground and the truck sits 3.5 inches lower when loaded. I'm trying to make my mind up with whether to get Timbren bump stops or Torklift lower Stable Loads to minimize sag and sway. I don't know which is a better choice. I had Timbrens on my last truck (F150) and I was happy with them, but I'm impressed by the Torklift products.

I've had Timbrens, and they are durable and do what they're advertised to do. That said, the unloaded spring rate is not nicely progressive, as you're making a sudden transition from disengaged to engaged. It can create an annoyingly jouncy ride.

HD trucks don't suffer from this as greatly as 1500 series trucks since the leaf spring pack is significantly stiffer and it takes a big bump to engage the Timbrens.

In a loaded situation the Timbrens will be engaged at all times and the ride is not objectionable. I think that lower Stableloads are slightly more effective at reducing sway, but for the price, the Timbrens are an excellent alternative.

I can't speak for Chevy's but on my Ford the Timbren's rode like rocks. Especially on concrete interstates. And yes I had them adjusted according to the manufacturers instructions.

Thanks all! Definitely leaning to Timbrens now, seeing that the GM owners mostly recommend them. Like I stated I had them in the past truck and liked them on it, but wasn't sure if they would affect the empty ride quality.

Another vote for timbrens. Had them on for a few years now and they are great.

They actually only work when you're loaded.

The prices are that much different ... 200 vs 300. Since you are familiar with Timbrens, I'd probably start with those. There isn't any reason why you couldn't have both if needed.

Another vote for Timbrens. It makes no sense to spend a lot of money on StableLoads when Timbrens will work just fine on your truck and camper. I agree with starcraft69 to save your money and go on a trip somewhere.

I have recently decided to go with lower StableLoads. I bought the truck with air bags so the uppers are not critical at this point. Use of already engineered suspension parts (leaf springs) that came stock with the vehicle is what sold me. Plus its a PNW product made in the USA.

I have both on my GM truck, but if I was to do just one, it would without a doubt the lower Stable Loads. They allow you to use your trucks suspension as close to engineered as possible and provides reduced sway big time.

Put timbrens on our 2500 with a 1,910 lb lance, we also pull a 17'.5" boat (250 lb tongue), the lady that sold us the TC had timbrems on her 2500 Ram and a 2 horse trailer, so i was sold on them.
