Looking at different tires for our F350. The truck has Michelin LTX A/T on it now. When not pulling the truck rides real rough.

I am looking at Continental Terrain Contact A/T - this tire has a rebate on it now

Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO 3 - highest price of the 3

Cooper Discover ATP - lowest price

Has anyone had these tires on their tow vehicles? Would you recommend any of these tires?

Thank You

Be careful running too low on HD "E" tires, if you do, the sidewalls might crack and come apart while driving. I run mine at 65 empty and 75 hauling the TC. That seems to work fine, and I get a nice ride at both pressures. My truck wears BFG 285/70 "E" shoes ... 🙂

You might even be able to run as little as 40-50 lbs in the rear. Wieght what your rear wieghs empty, pressure up tires accordingly.
I've run many tread designs on rears of trucks, ride quality is based on correct psi for load.
I currently have Cooper ATP3, son just put a second set on his now lifted GM 1500. I've had very few issues running Cooper's since late 80s. A popular M brand.....only XDE M+S in a 19.5 on dump truck are worth the $$$, first born, arm, leg and ALL the money in my pocket!

I think you will will notice a big difference when lightly loaded/non-towing if your pressure is about 60psi all around. Your tire model will make far less difference on stiffness than pressure.

I've been extremely happy with the Falken Wildpeak AT3W I put on my truck last fall. So far they seem to be wearing well and they've performed very well on and off road as well as in winter conditions. They're a better tire than the BFG AT/KO2's they replaced.

If you run your tires at 80 you're going to get a rough ride. I generally drop my rears down to about 60 when I'm not towing or hauling something heavy.

If your Michelins are riding rough I will bet you are overinflated for your actual weights.

The Coopers would be my second choice, for the money Sailun Terramax would be my first choice.

It's a truck! With 80 PSI of course it will ride rough. Lower your air pressure.when not towing. Stick with the Michelins.

I’ve ran Cooper AT3(2sets), WildCountrys and Revos(2sets)on my truck. The Revos I guess were the original Revos(15 years ago)are my favorite, roads great, and lasted over 50k miles. But they got really expensive. I did not like the WildCountrys. They rode bad, and did not last.
The Cooper AT3’s are what I, on now, and it is my second set. They ride almost as good at the Revos, and igot right at 50k miles out of the first set, and have about 5kon the current set. To me, they are the best tire for the money.
I’ve got 243k miles on this truck, so I’ve been through some tires.
Also Cooper is American owned and made.

I run 80 lbs in the tires. I will have to try running with less air when not pulling.
I am leaning toward the Continental Terrain A/T tire from Discount tire. I was hoping to get some reviews.

What do you run for rear tire pressure when not towing. SRW 42-45 and DRW 35 will greatly improve ride when not towing. Chris
