Thought I would give a Winter update on the EXO Grappler. Have been traveling across the high country in Idaho and Montana during the recent snow events. The EXO's have been excellent, they grip very well on the ice and snow pack. Deep snow is not a problem either, they clean out very well. There may be other factors at work, but mileage seems down a bit from the ATM's.

I had a set on my wife's Acadia and hated them. They constantly had a vibration after about 10,000 miles. Not sure if it was a balance issue or a bad belt.

I just re-shoe'd my 1-ton SRW with Hankook Dynapro ATM tires. So far good but they really have not been put to the test yet. Priorities for me are load rated E along with good traction on less than desirable road conditions; i.e. snow/ice. I was very interested in the Nitto Terra (or Dura) Grappler as they are supposed to be excellent but fell slightly short in regards to usage on snow/ice, some like them, some don't.
The Hankook Dynapro have lots of manufacturer siping which was the clincher...this and they are still considered an All-Terrain tread.

I just put a set of NITTO EXO Grapplers on my 2500HD. I pulled the Hankook ATM's off and when my 3500HD gets here I will take the Michelin AT2's off that and will be traded back on the NITTO's I have on now. The ATMs will end up back on my 2500HD when it is traded in. Interestingly I made this deal about a month ago and did the deal with my tire guy on my take off Michelins. He now has a whole room full of take off Michelins which have come off of new or near new HD's. It appears no one is staying with the Michelin AT2, they are now only giving $100 per tire trade for the Michelins. I gave $300 plus my new take offs for the NITTO's. Maybe it is just this area, but no one is digging that AT2.
The Hankook ATM is an excellent tire in my experience, decent traction and I was getting great wear out of the tires. I just needed something a little more aggressive. The NITTO EXO's have been excellent in snow and ice and mud so far. Hopefully they wear well, but the traction is certainly there. My tire size is 275/70/18.
I don't think it's just your area, my dad is the only person I know who likes the AT2. I am looking very hard at the Terra Grappler G2 for my next set. I have been a Michelin customer for over 20 years, they don't have OEM sizes for my truck (MS2). maybe time for a change.
Sorry to hear that, just switched from Toyo back to Michelin, started driving on them in the late 60's! I went to Les Schawb once marriage and children came along to save money.
The new Michelin M/S2+ are way better than the Toyo's and cost less.
If you like "service" and being "bent over" at the same time shop at LS!

Anyone run Nitto Tire on their Tow Vehicle? I have a 06 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually. Pull a 34ft 5th wheel. I am looking at the LTX Michelin but stopped at Big O Tires and they were trying to sell me the Nitto tires but they also carry the Michelins LTX. Give me your opinions.
