My Wife butters both sides and fries it in a skillet until golden brown. It's actually pretty good and doesn't take long.

If we do anyone of these to make toast, my alarm will go off in the RV! I make it under the broiler in the oven and occasionally frying it as stated here by someone else. Even using the oven method, we run a portable fan, aimed at the alarm, to prevent it from going off. The alarms are super sensitive, too sensitive when cooking, which is why I originally purchased a toaster, plugged it in to test it, and discovered that with just the heat it generated, the alarm went off. Never mind adding bread to the equation. Back it went to the store.
