From what I can see, campgroundreviews.com is the same content as rvparkreviews.com, with a little different formatting.
Currently RV-less but not done yet.

I don't think it sucks at all. The info is still there, you just have to learn a new interface. Nothing will be a better source of CG reviews anytime soon. Learn to use it or lose out.

I believe the old software was the main reason for this change. Probably not being supported.

Not true. The "new" site is just a reskin over the existing data with better "social features". If you are not aware rvpr was bought out last year by "Social Knowledge" the same company that manages irv2 forum. Their business model is based upon gathering user information and content. I feared the end result based upon the cruddy design of irv2. It is also really surprising that the mods here allow rvpr to use rv.net as their communications portal given its commercial purpose.

Personally I have withheld judgement while using the new site for a few days. After this trial it is in my opinion a ruined site. While this stinks for now the real value in rvpr is me and you the people that leave the reviews. Over the last several months I have been relying heavily on a newer site Campgroundviews.com The only thing it is missing is the reviews from all of us. I have already started. Since you are forced to use a "new" site anyways why not.

To sum it up put me down as a x5 that the updated rvpr sucks.

So many times these companies seem to believe that just because something is 'New' then it must be 'Better'.

Just like Win 8.0 - right ???

Maybe I was too hasty.

I spent a bit more time today looking at the site. All the previous information is there, but it is in some different places. I like to see the "nearby campgrounds", and the "nearby cities". And I use the Google locator to see the park on Google maps rather than relying on the park's own website.

All that stuff appears to be there. I just don't like having to re-learn what seemed to work pretty well before! Geezerness, I guess.

X4. Plus I don't like the forum set up as much as the old version.

X3 Some things should be left alone. I know I most likely won't be using it as much for posting reviews or reading.:(

The old version was much easier to scan as it was more compact. Now it is spread all over the screen instead of neat list showing recent reviews that you could easily run down. Now it is "too busy". Agree with Mockturtle about clicking on more to see the review. Some people think they have to be changing things to justify their work.

I can't see any improvement over the old site and I don't like having to click on 'more' to see each whole review.

Thanks guys, that is the one I kept pulling up but kept looking for the old one which I liked better, had more information at the top about the Campground like what folks had been paying and could map it, but guess have to get use to the
new one,
