campgrounds at Grand Junction/Colorado National Momument

Hello Rvers,

My husband and I are camping in Grand Junction/Colorado National Momument area. We have a fifth wheel, about 36 feet, and my husband becomes a bit nervous when backing into sites or turning tight corners in a few of the campgrounds. The parks all appear to be nice in the area, and I am having difficulty choosing a park. We prefer full hookups, but electric only is fine. Any thoughts out there. Thank you for your time and advice.

I appreciate all the replies about rv campgrounds at National Momument. I decided on the Rob State Park, and I believe my husband will be happy with the maneuverability of the campground when towing the fifth wheel. Vikkitennis

There is no question. The pull thrus at Robb are prime for a nervous backer.

Thank you to all the fellow rvers, who responded about the parks in or around Grand Junction Colorado. I will now research the two top, which was the RV Ranch and the James /w. Robb Colorado State Par, with also the Momument Rv Park. Happy RVing.

Here are photos of the sites - many pull-throughs although he really should practice with backins. Many times they are the best and most private.

I practice all the time. Thing is, I never get any better...

We stayed at Monument RV Park on the edge of Fruita when we visited in 2011 and found it close to the monument entrance and very doable.

We have stayed at the RV. Ranch at couple of times. Long side by side pull thoughs. Very friendly host. Clean rest rooms. I would recommend RV. Ranch. Jim2007.

Wife and I spent a week in Grand Junction last year at the RV Ranch.
Long pull thru's and FHU. I would recommend it.Look it up on (rvparksreview).
