This is what you have to look forward at most Az RV resorts at $60 a night. Not my cup of tea. I spent one season there & then headed further south. I like ocean or lakes, not desert.
Yes, I love the desert - great, isn't it.

Don't know where you stayed for $60 - you got burnt!

I have 3 free days in a 1000 trails resort. that is the quoted daily rate, I paid $4.

The most distrubing thing is the sign at the pool that only adults are allowed in the pool with diapers on, no kids. Last time I was afraid to go in the water was after seeing "Jaws ".

We like southern California, in the desert area. The Palm Springs area is nice and we stay in Borrego Springs, quiet but close enough to PS to shop. We have stayed in Yuma and found it too busy for our liking, other than a quick stop each winter on our way west.

Do you realize how many people are freaking out about your plan - or lack of one? When should you leave and where should you go?

Some folks have their stops planned out a year in advance. I congratulate you...you do it the way we enjoy doing it. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a good winter!

Anywhere south of I10 is Snowbird country.
Only way to find out what place you like is to try them all.
We traveled from Ottawa to Arizona for years, that was our favorite location.

We are from Winnipeg and have left in October, November, December and January. Get a three day all clear forecast and you should be ok anytime. Cold the first day or two, but in most cases camping from then on. If you leave after early Nov. best to winterize the tanks and water lines.
We have travelled from Florida across and through to California, and to pick a spot for the winter the first time away is cheating yourself. There are great places with good weather and bad weather, no matter where you go. Your rig has wheels and they are meant to turn.
We still have not found the one place that has it all. (after 25 years of RVing)
