Programable thermostat

I have a 2014 Wildwood Lodge destination trailer. I'm thinking about changing the stock thermostat to a programable thermostat. Any suggestions on what would work. I want one so that the air conditioner will come on and cool the trailer before I get there.

Not quite sure what is meant of `before we get there' but we put our t/s on 75 degrees F when we leave for the day in the summer and it's nice and cool when we get back later in the day.
Probably wouldn't work if we were gone for an extended length of time; like a week or more.

OP has a 'destination' trailer so most likely permanent site

Programmable t-stat so it doesn't run when not there and runs before they arrive

OP
Which A/C and which t-stat do you have makes responses more specific
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Best to post what thermostat make/model you have now.

The Thermostat needs to be battery operated.
Here is a link to one install, will work with most digital T-Stats.

Yes, I installed an Energy Star rated stat that is programmable. It does exactly as you describe and keeps the temp right at the set point.
You can also get one that's blue tooth and be able to set it from your smart phone.

Probably best to call AC mfgr and ask them.
I know mine is a special thermostat.
