Anyone modify their air bag pump for other use?

Getting ready to add airbags to my F250 and I'm debating going with an onboard compressor.
Has anyone modified this so it could also be used as a tire pump for their "toys" and other?
Thanks

I have been thinking of split mounting one of these under the truck with possibly a larger tank? http://www.ebay.com/itm/PUMA-12-VOLT-1-5-GALLON-OIL-LESS-AIR-COMPRESSOR-FREE-SHIPPING-/280790586347?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41606c53eb

Here is the write up I did for 8 Lug HD Truck magazine on the air bag/sway bar install:

http://www.8-lug.com/tech/1101_8l_2008_chevy_silverado_2500hd_buildup/

System works great. The auto level can't be beat and I use the tank for filling tire without issue. I tried running some air tools, but it wouldn't keep up. I also have a Warn winch with compressor on the front (different article) and with a 10 gal tank, that runs the tools just fine.

Compressor and tank for airbags, exhaust brake and on-board air.

OBA is for when you're out and about and need to air-up a tire, or whatever else you need air for...it's not really a substitute for a full-size compressor.

I put an airbag setup on my old truck with an onboard compressor. The compressor worked great for the bags, but it would be awfully slow for filling anything else. You would definitely need a good sized reservoir tank to go with it. I bought a used 110 volt 3 gallon pancake compressor that fits in the front compartment from a pawn shop, and I use it for everything.

I run a quick connect on both sides under the doors.
I also run a Shocker air horn wired into the upfitter (Ford) switches so I can use the regular horn or use the regular horn button for the air horns.

Works great for when needed as most people ignore regular car/truck horns..... you can't ignore the Shocker air horns ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for the tips. I thought this was more popular of a mod. I was kicking over getting a onboard pump and though this option would help justify it.
My F250 doesn't sag that much when I hitch up so I only see using bags on my longer trips. I'll save the bucks and work out my biceps...:)

You might want to buy the compressor sperate that way you can add a bigger one.

The kit I bought came with the Tee and self-coiling line to inflate a tire or small stuff. The air bag compressors are not what you'd call HD stuff, they will deliver the pressure to inflate your air bags but I would not want to regularly cycle mine to inflate a full size tire or even a ATV tire. Emergency? In a heartbeat and glad I set it up that way.

I have. Off my tank i ran 3/8 line and put 1 quick connect on either side of my truck under the rear doors. I have about a 5 gallons tank under my driver door inside the frame rails. I also run a 152db air horn. Just for fun.

I thought about doing that but our toy hauler has an on board air compressor, if it didn't I think I would though.
