Overnight at campground do you unhook?

You are stopping overnight at a campground with fairly level pull-through sites, will not leave campground & want to get back on road next morning. Assume utility will be hooked up, my question is do you un-hook and level, extend slides or stayed hooked up to TV and lower jacks then extend slides, or do nothing but extend slides?
Trying to learn based on your experience what works best without doing more than necessary. In a motor home we would just extend slides and relax with a beer. With the fiver not sure that is enough as the frame is not as rigid.
As always thanks,
Jim

Really depends on what time we get in, what time we're leaving in the morning and, like others, how level the site is. Always will put down the front legs to take the pressure off the TV.

We have done both ways but we travel with a young child and after having to make a dash to the ER one night for stiches, we unhook. Just something to consider.

If only overnighting I leave the truck attached, plug into electric, lower the landing jacks just enough to take some of the weight off of the truck and extend only the bedroom slide (I can use other facilities in my fiver with the other slides in).

No reason to hook up to the sewer since I travel with the black and grey tanks empty and usually have enough water in the fresh water tank so I don't need to hook up to the water supply, either. If I need to travel somewhere locally I can use my bicycle, weather permitting.

Here's a stupid question. If you are not going to unhook or use the facilities of a campground, why stop there? Isn't that what Walmart is for?

We fill up once a day, in the evening usually, so we unhook so I can go fill the truck with fuel. The next day we don't have to stop for fuel anywhere, so we stop to stretch our legs when we feel like it, not a when we have to stop for fuel. Works for us. ๐Ÿ™‚

I always unhook and pull forward enough to level. I have auto levelers so it takes about 3 minutes and the bed sleeps better when stable and level.

Level side to side, if required; hook up utilities, run out slides, fix supper. If in a parking lot, rest stop, etc., just run slides out, crank generator, and unhook 7-way from tow vehicle.

In most of the statements above I can't see why not to unhook. Lowering legs, lowering stabilizers so the slides can be put out. Only thing left to do is unplug the 7 pin and pull the hitch handle. Oh, sorry. You would also have to get out those heavy plastic chock blocks.....

I always unhook, even if I only pull forward just far enough to get the kingpin out of the bed.

Why? Because it forces me to go through my entire departure checklist in the morning. If I deviate from that routine, I run the very strong risk of forgetting something important. It also makes it much easier to run out if I need fuel, or if DW gets a late-night taco craving (those can be dangerous).

The only time I do not unhook is if I'm in a parking lot overnight.

if all is level, we hook up electricity sewer and water, then slide out, we usually get there about 5 or 6 in the evening, and as soon as I am hooked to everything, the dw has supper ready. then watch tv and fall asleep.

We always unhook. Generally, we get in by 3:00 so want to look around, get fuel, maybe eat out. I don't consider hooking/unhooking a problem.
