Had a Super Glide in our old set-up and really loved the hitch. I had NO complaints about any aspects of it. Tighten the jam-nut just snug enough to keep if from moving. It may need to be tightened periodically as the nylon bushing block wears. You've got a great hitch. FYI, my installer who has owned a hitch shop and been a Pullrite dealer for many years told me to use Slip-Plate dry graphite spray on the moving parts. It will not attract any dirt and grit. Good luck and safe travels.

As the tech said, just snug it up enough to keep the hitch from flopping around.
When not in use - I have always used a short bungee from a rail to the sliding base - or the head.
Never had any "flopping" problems in 11 years..:C
BTW - I *AM* a fan of my PR SG.
Never had any other.......there may be a better hitch out there,
and certainly owners of other brands will say theirs is best.
But - firm believer if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
(Hasn't broke yet - works fine for me)
