30 foot run of sewer hose--downhill?

Looks like my closest dump location (into a sewer cleanout) at home is going to be about 30 feet horizontally and about 4-5 feet (luckily) downhill from the RV.

Is it feasible to run that much Rhino hose, or similar hose, that far? Would I be better off with some sort of rigid pipe that can be disassembled for storage?

I really don't want to buy a macerator pump, and doesn't seem it would be necessary.

For simplicity and easy storage a macerator is the solution. I have run a 3/4 commercial water hose over 150' and no problem up hill, down hill or flat land. I have different length hoses for different runs ands can join them together for length needed. Run them into restroom commodes, clean outs, etc. through windows or doors and still works fine. If needed pump to second floor. Finish with flush of clean water and if desired add bleach to the flush. Very little storage space needed.

No need to do as I witnessed a camper near me one time. While disconnecting his camper he first dumped his tanks, next he disconnected the sewer hose, then he disconnected the water hose from the camper and inserted it down inside the sewer hose about 3-4 feet and rinsed it out. Then he stored the sewer hose by throwing it into the water bay and he finished by disconnecting the water hose from park water supply and threw the water hose in the water bay on top of the sewer hose.

That's a lot of pitch but a good rinse will fix it. I really like electrical pvc for those jobs, with a hub already on one end. I kept 120' of it around to pump out my pool. when I was in Az. Put some grease on the male ends so it will come apart easily when you're done. Craig

That's what I was hoping people would tell me.

I have one 15' section of Rhino that the previous owner left in the RV. I will have to measure the distance exactly, but obviously will need at least one more. If the ground is dry I can drive closer, but if we've had lots of rain I will have to stay on the concrete, which is farther away.

Thanks!

This is what I carry in my fiver and have used them many times together. I do use a slinky hose support to keep a nice even slope on them but they work just fine.

Even slope is a good point. I will probably want to support the hose to avoid a vertical drop coming out of the RV, then a level stretch, then a steep short drop off the parking pad, then the long run on the slope.

I've been told that a section of gutter works well for this. Has anyone used gutter sections for support?

We don't have but a 20 ft run here at our temp address. Critters like to chew on the hose. We have a long piece of pipe thin insulated type pipe, easy to cut and split it an ran the sewer hose through it. I have seen a cap with a hose fitting on the end that fits the house end of the sewer hose. it might have been at CW. if you have a problem cleaning the inside of the hose. I plan on re filling the gray water tan and flushing the hose twice.

I have done 30' at a slight incline. Does not work well but we got through the week.

Not an issue! Be sure to fill your tanks then do a final flush.

I have about a 3 foot drop over a 50 foot run. It works fine. I've been doing it for 16 years now and have never run into a problem, aside from cheap hoses. I've never had any surprises left in the hoses.

Use lots of water. Especially AFTER you've dumped.
