Awning Draining

On the awnings I've had on previous trailers, I could set them up so one side was lower than the other and rain water could drain off. Now, I have an electric awning and I've not figured out how to tilt it to one side. Not sure of the brand but it's on our Coachmen Freedom Express 233RBS. Here's the best photo I could find.

Is it possible with this type of awning?

I use the awning rafters, they are arched and on my 19 foot I have 3, this tightens the cloth a little and arches it, if I drop on side by one hole it drains like a dream.
in heavy rains I drop it 3 or 4 holes to drain it fast. So if electrics don't have that ability I won't get one, the dam thing keeps stuff like my chairs and a few odds and ends dry, and allows me to sit out there in a drizzle and enjoy it

Your awning appears to be the A&E Dometic Weather Pro. If it is this is how it works.

Left Arm
Your A & E awning is designed to shed water if left out in
light rain. If water builds up on the awning, the left arm will
automatically decrease the awning height approximately 9
inches. When there is no longer the need to shed water it
will return to the normal height.

Have you tried it in the rain yet?
Electric awnings are great and anyone that thinks a manual is better is still in the stone age and seem to really hate changes.

Ours has automatic dumpers. Water will build up to a point, but then is will compress the gas shock, and allow the excess to run off. Once enough weight has run off, the shock pushes it back into place.

Makes having an awning kind of pointless. If you can't use it. That's what it is for. To sit under in the rain.

If you can't use it. Get rid of it, and get one you can use. An electric awning was a deal breaker on our new TT. A manual was required.
No kidding, I always thought an electric awning would be cool, but if I have to put it away when it rains, that's about useless. :S

Our keystone has a power awning. I can tip either side. However I cant stand this awning and next yr it will be replaced with a manual awning.

Ours looks just like yours and it has a knob on the flat part. You pull down on the angle part and lock the knob to drop which ever end you want. Having to put the awning up in the rain is the dumbest thing Ive ever heard of. Ours is out unless its a severe storm.

I have a Keystone tt with electric awning and there is no tilting it eather. Make sure it's retracted when it rains because it will accumulate on the awning, I know from experience.
