I have searched all the forums and guess I'm searching wrong!

Is there any help for staving off flies?

I've tried the pennies in water hanging bags. Doesn't work.

thanks for any REAL and HELPFUL suggestions!

DEET will work on many types of flys but not all or under all conditions.

Then "drown" her in a glass of water. When she appears "dead" place her on the table, cover her with ordinary salt and wait. She will crawl out back to life.

A great way to kill an afternoon, although alcohol intake by the human helps. :B:B:B

we have a box fan also for outside. flying things have a hard time in that air flow.

we also bring a screen tent. never leave without it cause sometimes the bugs are going to happen big time. We sit inside our screen tent. rare really, but we have it and use it if needed.

citronella torches...but I hate to use those. not a fan cause of the smell but sometimes hubby wants them and puts them up. they work to keep fying things away.

good luck
