How to stop neighboring campers from

This may sound silly, but I am currently camping and one neighbor cuts across my site while he is going and coming from his boat.

It is not that he is cutting through BUT when he does, he is within 2 feet of my camper door and within 4 feet of us sitting there talking.

I struck up a conversation with him and during this conversation asked if he would mind crossing the campsite a little further back from our camper. At that point he stormed off and said kiss my a..

Anybody have a simialr experience and if so were you able to resolve it?

Next time he walks so close to your camper, stand completely naked at the screen door and whistle at him! I guarantee he'll NEVER cut through another campsite again!

Sit outside with your pitbull. See if that deters him.

I about spit out my ice tea.:B

I had one person who cut through my site (remember I had 4 Collies) that stepped on a Collie landmine. He was cussing all the way back to his trailer. Yes I do clean my site, but if the Collies go of a night I wait until morning to remove in daylight.

Claymores or punji sticks would solve the problem long term.

Does he still cut through after you asked him to stop? He stormed off saying KMA, but wonder if he's still doing it.

Yes, he is still doing it.

There is 50 or 60 feet of mowed grass yard between my camper and the lake. There is no need to walk where he is walking. Now he is just being beligerent.

I think the closeline idea would be an easy way to "force" him to walk further away from my door and awning. Without starting an all out war.

I just want to relax and enjoy the park. We really are firendly folks and enjoy socializing. His passin so close is just creepy.

He just walks by on the way to his boat. What is the big deal? Sure he is being rude, and probably obnoxious, but how does it really hurt you? Is it really worth starting a war?

It's irritating to some people. It distracts and detracts from the experience. The guy is being an ass. Have some respect for other people's personal space. Some people just weren't raised right.

I've had my camp chairs and even chase lounge chairs moved (folded up) and put out of the way by folks taking a short cut. I strung a two clothes lines at different heights or added another string of lights left unplugged.

We camped and had fishing boats....... so nice big COE spread out campsites with enough room to park the truck and boat trailer. I've had my boat trailer moved so someone could take a short cut by my front door. The fix was I chained it in place.

One guy taking a short cut by the back of our trailer cut his head on one of our cranked out windows. With over 20' to the next trailer he had no business there anyway.

We've camped since the late '50s and I could go on and on about what I've seen site trespassers do.

Camo netting around the perimeter works great for me.

Obama suggested a beer summit. That occurs frequently at the rot rally campground

If the drain plug to the guy's boat somehow got lost, I bet his boating weekend would probably come to an end.

As said earlier, let the campground management take care of your problem
