So my wife thinks-

I am overly obsessive about our two year old TT. She feels I am neglecting the house (not true, never have!!) We had a pop-up for twenty years, and I admit I was never watching over it. The TT is just a 16BH, I have enjoyed modding it, a lot of fun. I do regularly check this place for the newest pot. I am just trying to learn as much as I can.
I can go on-- and on--
Anybody else been accused of this by their other half??

I'm the wife here, and I'm the one who keeps the trailer pristine, washes and waxes it,checks tire pressure ect. Looks as new as the day we bought it.

Now DH would complain it's better kept than the house,and he's probably right!

Tell her to cheer up; if you get done doing mods on this one, she'll just have to buy you another one...and that will be more expensive than the projects you're doing.

Nope, not on anything she benefits from. In fact, she'll ask me if I've checked the lugnut torque since our last trip. If it was another hobby that took me out of the house and away from her, then it might be a different story.

I had a colleague with a late-teen son who was very into hot-rodding his car. Spent every evening in the garage on it until 9-10. We asked him about it and his reply was he always knew where the kid was and what he was up to. Kinda the same for our RVs.

Which makes me think... if the DW ever said, "Either that RV goes, or I go!" which would you choose? 😄

We bought our trailer as a project, so my wife gets excited when she sees me working on it. Most of the big things are done now, but I still have what seems like a lifetime of projects left. I don't know if she's noticed me neglecting the house, but the garage is certainly a train wreck.

I think I'm finally to the point with mods that I'm happy with where the trailer is at. I can now focus on just routine maintenance or small tweaks.

I find I spend too much time on the forums though....

DW calls ours my "toy." Then she adds there are much worse hobbies. She knows where I am at night.
