Things your wife won't let you have for the RV

I'm sure we all have a item or two the better half just refuses to agree too. Mine is pretty simple, I want one of those state visited map to put on the screen door. She won't have anything to do with it "too tacky".

I'm usually pretty good at convincing her when it comes to things. This one she puts up a brick wall. What's the big deal???? Honestly, I don't have a real good case. 😞

We've got one of those states visited maps but so far, after 12 years it's still in the drawer in it's original wrapper. Our slide outs are deep enough to stick in there, we don't want it on a window or the side wall...so, we've left it in the drawer but someday hope to mount it to a piece of plexiglass so we can hang it somewhere when we are parked. I don't think the map is tacky...we just don't want to stick it to the side of the motorhome to have it leave a permanent mark there.

We allow each other to take along anything we want but after our newbies years we learned real quick that most of our "treasures we thought we had to have" just wasted space. We now travel lean and clean.

I wanted to get a new Duramax GMC for the 5th wheel but by the look on the DW's face I knew the answer was NO, she didn't even have to say it. She has let me get pretty much everything else I wanted for it so I guess I can't be too upset or disappointed. Tim

We went to buy one of those calendars and my wife was supportive up until she saw the price. We still don't have one, but I'm watching for a good deal.

For most decisions, if either one of is real passionate about something, we go that direction. Seems to work for us. We've been hitched 23-years and counting. I feel like a very lucky man too. About two years ago she came to me and said, I think I know how we can get a new truck. Can't beat that!

DW of 22yrs said "No" to fishing rod holder in the living area- even though it has the perfect spot on the wall above the couch!

So we made a mult-rod holder in the RV's garage cargo area that works quite well.

My wife was not strongly in favor of us getting a satellite system for the coach late last summer, but she didn't say "No" to it. One day while I was specing out what I wanted to buy, she mentioned that she (a diehard NHL fan) would be a lot happier about getting it if we could get the Center Ice package for the hockey season before we headed south. A friend had told her that it was only available on cable. As soon as I showed her that it indeed WAS available on Dish, she was all in favor of the purchase, and was pressing me to make sure I had everything in place and working before the season began. :B

Yeah we do.... My wife knows that when i say "yes dear". I don't really like the idea or whatever, but after enough years, i know it isn't worth fighting over, it's all about picking your battles... :B

I did not know that you have to get permission from your mate to buy something My DW buys what she wants and I do the same whether it is a $200K DP
or property. That will be the day that either of us have to ask if they can buy
whatever they want. Maybe that's because we know each other so well.
It has worked for us for nearly 56 years plus we are debt free for over 40 years

We have done them all over and over, don't need map of where we have been, need map of where we haven't been. Also buy it and then tell her it don't work and return it.
