Have been traveling with the family now for a few years. Usually I purchase a T-shirt or more during our travels. However have concluded that they dont last as a memory of a trip due to wear and tear. My DW collects shot glasses, one of my sons collects snow globes, and my mother collected spoons. Purchased a TT lapel/hat pin recently and have decided I will attach them to my hat as a record of our travels. Already have a GSC life member pin on it, now the fun part of getting on line and finding ones from the states we have already been. Just curious to learn what others collect on their travels.

My mother is a traveler and collects t-shirts, but isn't a t-shirt wearer. When she collected enough, I turned them into a t-shirt quilt. Sand from the beaches gets poured into a glass vase. She marks each level with the location and date. She also collects stamps in her National Parks book.

I'm a seasonal camper, so I collect photographs from my campground and turn them into photo art.

I collect coffee mugs. Collect is not very accurate though. I use them a lot. And lose them a lot. I take them to work and people just kinda walk off with them. Or they get broke. But I don't mind. I just like always having some silly coffee mug. More silly looking the better.

Kids do the pressed penny thing. I like it. Because they do

we are working on our bucket list for all the fl. state parks. (25 so far) my wife collects pins for her hat and gets me a t shirt. only problem is her hat now weighs about 10 lbs.

I'm actually at the other end of the scale. I have started looking at all the stuff we have and where it's going to end up. It will be in a garage sale. Your hat pins are not the same as they are pretty small and inexpensive. Enjoy

We started and then stopped buying T-shirts when each one got washed and turned into an unwearable square shape.

We collect the lapel pins. DW had some felt like material that we pin them to and hang them on the wall in the TT. DW is also going to take the t-shirts that are too small for the kids and make each of them a quilt with the shirt designs. Would work with adult t-shirts also for a quilt for the TT.

Digital photographs, that's about it. Still trying to get rid of stuff I could not do without.

I take lots of pictures of our travels. For past few years, I have selected the best picture, by month of travel, and create a calender for the family. This helps us remember time and place of travel for each year. We place them where we can see them daily, thus frequently reminding us of our trips.

In my recent effort to downsize our "stuff"- I found that I was throwing away memory after memory by way of trinkets that sit unused, but we've been unable to let go of.

From here out- it's digital photos and that's about it.
