I can tell you that my husband, who has a CC, was sitting at a red light when someone tried to car jack his vehicle. The sight of a pistol barrel sent the idiot down the road. I hate to admit it, but with the crazies out there, more and more of our friends, acquaintances and co-workers are arming themselves. None of them would pull a weapon unless there was no other choice. And yes, we know the consequences. But better that than death............

I would suggest those who advocate carrying a weapon while traveling-in the event they would have to use it and after being detained and having to acquire legal counsel with a bill of $30,000.00 to $50,000.00 (very plausible if you shot someone) might have a change of opinion for the next time leaving home with a weapon after these expenses.
Of course, the above scenario is just to get on your way again, if it (the incident)is questionable at all expect a civil suit from the remaining next of kin. Then your life will change forever-win or lose.

Unless I'm mistaken, you can keep a handgun in your console or glove compartment unless you have been convicted of a felony. Even though I have a CCW, I rarely if ever carry unless hiking in unfamiliar woods. I always have it handy in the TV and in the TT.
