Try the RVParky app or website (RVParky.com). We use the app and always call before stopping to make sure the info is accurate. The app is awesome since it allows you to dial directly from the app.

Don't take the list as 100% accurate. It lists the Concord NH location as no parking. During NASCAR races the lot is full.

And I suspect that sometimes WalMart blames local restrictions even when the restrictions are due to some people abusing the privilege, turning the parking lot into a pig sty.

I've been instead searching out Home Depots or Lowes for short overnighting between day drives, or churches, instead.

Abuse has been the cause of the Wal Mart declines, the last thing you want is government intervention on REIT type properties, usually influenced by those losing out on revenue because their pricey RV parks are being bypassed by value conscious consumers.

All stays is another place to check online. It shows Walmarts on a map, and will give parking information. We stayed at one in Fairmont, MN. A sign in the lot said no overnight parking, but Allstays said to go in and ask, that others had been told they could park overnight. They said we could park overnight.

The list that Bill Halberstadt maintains and is published both on a Yahoo group and a Discovery Owners site are the absolute best. But only because he is always on top of it. He can also use our help.

Wonder how that list stacks up against what the RV Parky App lists as no park Walmarts.

Ah, good, my local Wal Mart is open for business. Not near any attractions. Not near any private CGs but it is close to a SP that is a whole lot nicer than WM.

The frequently asked question below is from the Walmart Corporate web site regarding RV parking at Walmart stores.

Question
Can I park my RV at a Walmart store?

Answer
While we do not offer electrical service or accommodations typically necessary for RV customers, Walmart values RV travelers and considers them among our best customers. Consequently, we do permit RV parking on our store lots as we are able. Permission to park is extended by individual store managers, based on availability of parking space and local laws. Please contact management in each store to ensure accommodations before parking your RV.

AS for Cottonwood....city took immediate steps to ban overnight parking at that Walmart.

I'm glad.........lot of 'stealth camping' was going on in that parking lot. Very little overnighting.

Now lot is cleaner (urine bottles/trash/unknown stuff on lot) and safer (miscreants lurking about)
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Seems kind of strange. El Paso must have half a dozen walmarts but only one says no. I've seen trailers overnight at the one closest to us on Joe Battle. Managers choice?

Just glancing at the first page or so, Benson, AZ is listed but RVers stay there. So I'm questioning how accurate this list is. It's always best to call before going to get a firsthand answer.

The list refers to 'overnights'. The above link represents only approximately 20% of all the Walmarts. Meaning approx. 80% do allow overnights. According to the Walmartatlas.com.
