After being on a waiting list for over 2 years, I finally got a large covered storage spot for our TT. It also has un-metered electric. It is pricey, but the lot is right down the street from us and is really convenient.

I just moved our TT in last week. At the time, no one was in the spot to my left. I went to the lot last night to put some clothes in the TT and a large TT was parked in the spot next to me with all his slides out. The slides extend about 12-15 inches into my spot. I have a hard time getting my front door open. Also, instead of using his own electric post, his power cord is laying across the back of my site (and my neighbors site) two sites down to plug it. I am hoping he is just cleaning out his trailer and this is just temporary. Wife thinks I need to call the lot ASAP and complain. I hate to be a pain but this is really irritating me. I am going to give it until the weekend but I am paying top $$$ for this site.

I didn't take this picture at a very good angle but as you can see I don't have much room in the front of my TT to get the door open.

sounds like the guy is living there. Cheap monthly rate of $250. and free electricity. What a deal. I would assume that the storage facility has rules regarding staying 24/7 in your RV. The STORAGE AMOUNT OF ELECTRICITY WOULD BE VERY MINIMAL. What a few clocks etc. But if someone is abusing the power access, they need to be sent packing. It is 20 amp service for a reason (STORAGE ONLY NOT TO LIVE IN IT)

I would notify the manager immediately. I'm sure there's something in the contract somewhere stating you need to remain in your own spot. Also, if it's metered electricity, is he trying to get free juice? I would think the manager wouldn't be too happy about that either.

Sorry, I fixed my original post. The electric is un-metered. That's why it's so weird that he connected his power cord two spots down.

Maybe the electric assigned to him was`defective. I come across defective power often in Rv parks, so it's fairly common.

Wouldn't be surprised if those slides come out at night.
Stack a couple of empty plastic bins right on the line. Bet they're moved or knocked over.

I did send the manager an email thanking him for taking care of the issue. Hopefully the issue stays resolved.

I hope you let the manager know you appreciate his efforts. I had a bad experience with a rude neighbour at a very nice campground. The manager shut them down and wouldn't take no for an answer. I made sure to call the manager and let him know how much we appreciate him doing that and we booked reservations for next season. Sometimes I think the only way to beat these people is to make sure businesses know who the good customers are.

Would you be allowed to drive a couple of T-posts in the ground so the slide couldn't go out far enough to be in the way of your door without hitting them?

Drove by the lot this afternoon and the back slide is now in. I guess the manager called him again. Now hopefully the slides stay in.

That is good news.

Now just paint those lines delineating the boundaries of the space a flashing neon so that the neighbor won't get "confused" again. ๐Ÿ™‚
