Adios camping buddy

My "last born"..a gentle 15 yr old tom cat was put to sleep about 1 hr ago. Everything from his kidneys to lord knows what had finally failed him, so basically he told us to take him to the vet.

He'll be missed as he rode the C Coach from the time we got it.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know there will always be an empty place in the coach but I also know your heart will be full of wonderful memories.

Sorry for your loss. In the last five years I had to lead 2 horse to one of the pastures where the vet was waiting to put them down. even though it was heartbreaking, there was no other option. what helps me is the fact that I was blessed being close to them and the fact that we gave them the best we could, they gave us even more. I agree with the post stating rescue another one. They need your love.

Sorry for your loss: it's never easy. When you're ready, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you rescued a kitten to carry on his legacy and adventures.

I like your term, "last born." They sure are like a beloved kid, without all the complications of the two-legged ones. We've had several cats that our first clue something was wrong, medically, was too late to do anything. Cats will disguise illness as long as they can. When you think about it, that's pretty smart. So sorry for the loss of your Rving buddy.

Oh yes - I've got a comfy bed, just like mine down there at home,
So things here are quite adequate, I cannot gripe or groan;
But while I'm up here waiting, in my cat bed in the sky,
I'll regularly look in on you, and keep a watchful eye.

My wife enjoyed this especially so...

Sorry for your loss, Sully. We have 2 cats. Both are about 12 years old. It will be a sad day when they pass.

I empathize with you as we loss our 14 year old Golden last November. We had him creamated and by a Pet Crematorium who put him in a beautiful box, therefore, he is always with us. These fur babies grab hold of our hearts like nothing else! We learn to live with our grief because it never goes away.
