Class A diesel cannot use microwave, 110 outlets, or air conditioners with shore power, but can use them with generator. Why don't the 110 outlets and appliances work when plugged in but will work with generator?

Could be a bad relay in the transfer switch not allowing the shore power side of the switch to connect.

If your shore power cord has one of the yellow aftermarket plugs on it (the pedestal/male side) unscrew the cap on it and and make sure the wires are all connected. I had the same experience and I had a wire loose inside the plug. Hooked it back up and all was good.

Yes check the pedestal. A smart camper before you probably TURNED the breaker off before he unplugged! You shoud A. turn it off before you plug in ( don't forgrt to turn it back on) and also turn it off before you unplug when breaking camp!!

This is a DP so no doubt it's a 50-amp coach. Does the list of things that do not work include everything that's 120-VAC (shore tie or generator) powered or just some of the 120-VAC items? 50A is really two 50A circuits at 120-VAC each. Or 100A total available to the coach.
So I was wondering, the items to check remain the same, but it could be that only one Side/one Leg is out...

In a related comment, you should probably disconnect from Shore Power BEFORE you start the generator. If not, when the transfer relay breaks the shore power connection and switches to generator, arcing could occur which can burn the relay contacts and cause such problem as you are describing.

Typically, the transfer switch normally closed (NC) contacts service the shore power. When the generator fires up there is a slight delay then the power from the generator throws the transfer switch to supply the power from the generator. So, firstly, check the pedestal for power.
