You are right, I went back and looked again and finally noticed the flag at the bottom available only (USA on one and Canada on the other). Had me puzzled for awhile. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

FWIW, the CPE 2kw inv showed up in the 2011 Cabelas spring master catalog but doesn't show up online yet even if I search the part number (CB-52-3966-001). Priced at 699.99 and 99.99 for the parallel kit.

you can get a used Honda 2000 for that much money. i got mine off of Craig's List for that and it only had 25 hours on it.

for only a couple of hundred more, you can get a brand new Honda 2000 shipped.

i'm sure the new Champion 2000 is a good product but it's going to have to be a dramatic price difference from the Honda to go for one.

That seems like the most common comment when somebody posts the MSRP price of the Champion 2k. They don't compare it to the retail price of a Honda.

Has anyone actually paid $699 for their Champion 2k? Mine was $499 and it seems like that is the most common price paid. Soon many will be getting in on the $399 deal too. I bet many folks don't pay retail price for the Honda either. Why not compare MSRP to MSRP or best available price to best available price? Why do I see so many compare the MSRP of the Champ to the used price of a Honda?

I consider that to be a dramatic price difference from the Honda. Evan a used Honda without warranty seems dramatically higher than a new Champion with warranty.

The Affinity Group owns Camping World. Camping world sells Champion gensets. Champion has not and does not advertise in magazines, etc. as a corporate entity. Any add for CPE equipment is paid for by a CPE retailer.

:h What's your point with the above statement? :h

It vary much apprears that Champion (CPE) is label that is imported by various retailers direct from China. I ran a check on Champion (CPE) in California and came up dry. No listing as a registered Company doing business in Calif. or the US. One possible reason, no direct advestising is found. Lot's of imported labels from China are in the same class. However, Doesn't make the Champion brand or lab any less a good choice. My old C46540 being one. It's peak still appears higher that the Champion 2000i. The question is: Will two Champions linked together opperate a 15,000 btu A/C? No rotational mass to the Inverter generaters. Even so, I am on the look out for the price of $199 listed on another thread.

Lets all ๐Ÿ™‚ and have New Year Cheer with just the facts, ma'am.

Dudley, looking at your profile you give us the name of 'Dudley Przemek' it's interesting you have only 4 posts to this thread and RV.NET all are about the Champion?

Happy New Year to all!

I must have hit a sore spot with this post or for some put a burr in the ol' saddle. It does appear there have many posts on this thread that can not be traced to the poster. I ran a check on the name of 'Dudley Przemek" and nothing returned. If wrong, sorry. But other posts on this thread are not creditable. For some unknown reason this thread has not come up to the high standards of RV.NET. IMHO. Truth counts.

ZOMG! Well, the waiting will end for me too, $100 off is too big of a savings to pass up.

For those who don't get coupons is there a way to get the instore or anything? We're not currently Costco members but know friends who are and will buy this for us..but I'm not sure if they get/keep the coupons?

You don't need the coupon at any that I have been to(they have some taped to the cash register and they just scan it).

And a BIG THANK YOU to Mr.Grumpy for posting the adds. I should get mine in the mail soon. Most likely I should be able to talk the wife into a $400 generator (I hope).

Well I'll de' clare. I hope this thread is not an advertising tool streight from Champion. In looking through some of the affinity group mags, don't find one Champion ad.:? There have been many questionable posts, even by the Owner/CEO of Champion (CPE) US, here. Now we have the post by Mr Grumpy? His first post. A 'real deal' review would be appreciated for sure and certain. Each of us have a profile that should contain some creditable info. Must be easy to get on RV.NET and post. Let's keep these threads with real deal folks. No plants please. This will give us a nice website to visit for great independent user reviews and we will all have a Happy New Year.

Sorry Old & Slow, I was just posting a link to the actual scans for the Costco Coupon book that came out last week as per DudleyDone's post. I figured some people might like this information, perhaps canadiankid since he referenced that he hadn't seen them. Yes, that was my first post because up until now, I haven't had anything to contribute. I thought that this was a thread for information and I thought I helped provide that.

I've been following the thread now for a couple months, waiting for users to report their feedback. I plan on picking one up in March and perhaps I can give some feedback at that time. My technical knowledge on generators is rather limited, which is why I'm here. I'm hoping that it will run my A/C unit that has a hard start cap. I have been able to run my A/C with my friends Honda 2000. This was late last September at 1200 ft. It wasn't hot that day but it's the only time I had everything in the same spot for testing. We ran it for about 30 minutes without any issues. I know that this was less than ideal test conditions. From Professor95 comments, it sounds like the Champion 2000 won't sustain a surge for as long as a Honda, so I might be screwed. I had a Champion 3500/4000 before, while it ran everything, I didn't like moving it! So I sold it and have been waiting for Costco to get some in stock and for more information on the Champion 2000 from actual users. Now that I see they will be on sale in March, I'll wait until then and keep watching this thread.

The coupon is in the book. Got mine in the mail on Thursday as well. I just may have to buy a second Champion to compliment the bigger one. At that price it is a good deal for the times we don't need the ac.
