2016/2017 Duramax caught during testing

Article

As the article says, the DEF tank looks like a decoy and maybe they are finally going to redesign it so it doesn't look so hideous and like an after thought.

The hood though....I'm not sold on that one. Looks like a view obstruction. Hopefully they are just testing the functionality of getting air in there, not a design element.

Would have rather seen improvements in the emissions and focus on improved reliability and mileage like diesels use to have. My 2012 Dmax pulls my trailer like its not even there. And I need more power why???

Gome on manufacturers lets end the stupid HP/TQ number wars... Its getting really old.

That front grill area looks like a Fordyota.

Looking forwards to see how this develops. 450hp/900 ft lbs sounds like some good numbers. :C

They most likely did a recall right after the photos. They figured why wait for them to hit the road.

They are testing an engine why the camo?? They could have driven the truck around looking like any other truck and nobody would have been the wiser. You put those weird paintjobs and hoods on and people start to wonder what is up with it.

I am not a Chevy fan, but it seems like they got raked over the coals with the last update not being enough. From those photos, it once again looks like not much has changed in the design. I wonder how the market will respond this time.

They have been high since 07 model year... The new trucks are no different and I wouldn't expect to see GM change them now.

I think that's part of the decoy styling, you don't see it in the second pic.
