For long-range driving conditions, try this - pretty basic but does seem to be fairly accurate, in my experience:

You can look forward 7 days.

Congratulations! Beautiful camper's, we love the AF's! I hope that when the time comes (if ever) that we replace our old Lance 880 that AF offers a couple more floor plans. I wish they offered something like the Lance 1181 or with "U" shaped dinettes, if they did I would buy one in a heat beat!

And I would add, we are in Keizer, OR. Two minutes off I-5 and about 40 minutes south of Portland, OR if you need a place to park and sleep or just stop and visit.

Enjoy and congrats. Like others have stated most states have a website that shows traffic and road conditions. You can usually just google like Oregon Travel Advisory and pull it up. Agree with others come across the southern US and then come up I5. I would carry chains ''just in case''.

Great camper! We have a 1080, the predecessor to the 1140, and love it. Some of our friends with 5th wheels are jealous of all our storage! We also have way more counter space than our old 26' Callista class C!

I've got the 2012 model 1150 and love it. Be advised though that it is a very heavy camper, so plan accordingly. Even with a heavy dually, you'll probably need air bags to level it, and maybe stabil loads to engage the overleaf sooner.

Other than that, a GREAT coach. I bought mine from Princess Craft in the Austin Texas area, and since they carry several different lines I was able to literally walk from one to another, Lance, Chalet, Northern, etc.
In my humble opinion, the layout, fit and finish were vastly superior on the Arctic Fox.

When you get close to Idaho you can dial 511 for the conditions. There really is no traffic unless a semi rolled. Also check out the Idaho Transportation Department website, they have cameras all over the state and you can look them up online. If you need to stop somewhere in SE Idaho PM me and I'll give you some help.

Congratulations! We love ours. 30,000 + miles so far and no problems except a jack motor needing a brush adjusted.
Unfortunately, we're snowed in right now, otherwise we would be putting it on the road when I get home.

Awesome built camper.

I don't know if they come standard with Interior LEDs or not, but if the don't,
check out www.ledtrailerlights.com

It's where a lot of TC owners have ordered LEDs. THe owner also happens to own an Arctif Fox truck camper.

Any one have any idea how I can get country wide driving conditions before I head out?

I would think staying as far south as you can till you get to the west coast along with watching the elevations and you should avoid the white stuff. Heading up Interstate 5 from Ca to Or should keep you near the coast and at low elevation. If you have winter tires, put them on. If not, consider that part of the cost and buy them somewhere along the way. There are certain passes that they will be required by law.

Very smart decision!! You just saved tons in sales tax, shipping, and a much better competetive purchase price.
