I was in a Napa Store last week to pick up a Muffler for a 99 Suburban and while whipping out the credit card, the couner person asked if I had Triple A. Turns out, big discount if your a AAA Member. I was also told the discount was huge on Batteries....

I've used Rock Auto a few times but mainly use Amazon for car parts. If I had multiple items in my Rock Auto cart, it would often tell me some of the items were in warehouse A and some in warehouse B and the shipping costs were seperate. If they couln't ship from one place and chage me one shiping fee, I'd look somewhere elese.

I've found for parts on the Suburban, nothing is ever in stock...anywhere...most of the parts chains like NAPA, Advance, and even the GM dealers in town, use regional warehouses. Anything you need is 2-3 business days. So I started ordering from Rock Auto...I figured if I have to wait 2-3 days anyway I may as well get the part for half of what the local guys want to charge.

Wal-Mart has the best price on oil so I find myself in the local parts stores less and less lately.

I only purchased one time from Rock with good experience. I also like Advance Auto parts. Google searching for them offers advertising links with pretty big discounts. I can order online and pick up in the store within 30 minutes.

Rock Auto is a pretty good company to deal with. They have had stuff when no one else has.

I've never had any dealings with Rock Auto. I just checked their website, they have some parts available for an old car I own and plan to restore with my grandsons.
