When staying in 1 place for any length of time you have the ability to drop the camper and have the truck to get around.
When I had my Reese Titan and 4' extension, it was as simple as pulling the hitch pin and unplugging the elec plug and removing the extension.
With the Superhitch it seems much more involved with the 2 extensions and support chains.
How long does it take those with this hitch to drop everything so you can use the truck without the TC?
Can you slide both extensions out together or do they have to be "disassembled" and removed individually?
Thanks

Guess I maybe a klutz but when sliding out the truss the tubes collapse on one another. Fingers beware because it hurts!
Sounds like its not assembled correctly. Mine has plates on both sides in two places that bolt the two tubes together. No way they will collapse.

2. Where would you be pinching your fingers?
Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.

My Supertruss is 36 inches. Without rushing I can have it off in 5 minutes. Takes a few minutes longer to put in.
You must have a beer while removing yours. :B

Although I only remove it 3, maybe 4 times a year as we leave the camper on the truck almost all year now. (just the way we do things. Not making judgements on you!)

Sounds about the same as the Reese except for the chains.
My biggest concern was the double extensions if they needed to be disassembled.
Don't think it will be an issue.

I often do exactly this, depending upon where I am and what I'm doing. If it's a quick errand I'll even leave the bike rack in the extension (folded up).
That said, the SuperTruss is simple to remove so if the camper is going to be off for more than a day, or if I will need to park in a space-constrained area I just pull off the bike rack and the extension..
Cheers

My order - loosen turnbuckles, chains off Superhitch, unplug extension wiring, pull hitch pins and retainers, wrap chain around extension and pull out. (Now, where to put it?) ๐
Easy - 10 minutes max. As I mentioned, harder to replace single-handedly. Don't let it scare you - it is SOOOOOOO much more solid than a simple entension piece.
