Ok, im confused trying to find a good TV for the family, i thought as you drop in models on the F150 line, the payload would mostly likely increase due to less packages add to the truck. from what i have found an FX4 has more payload then an XLT- both with 5.0, scew and 3.73 rears. could someone shed some light?

To be fair, the F150 HD is more equal to this:

You Texans like 'em in pink huh? Yeah, that fits.

In general, you can only find it on the 'build' site by picking the 8' bed or the 6.5' bed with the crew cab and only up to the Lariat trim option I think..

Good luck!

Mitch

Think it comes in on the build site when you select the 3.73 Limited Slip Differential. Don't think you can get it with the FX trims. Just XL, XLT and Lariat.

And my FX2 SCab yellow-sticker payload is 2050 with MaxTow, but not the HD Payload.

Next time I'll get the HD Payload because of the suspension upgrade alone. Really, that suspension should come with the MaxTow, leaving the 7 lug axle/wheels for HD Payload.

Yes, back in 07 thru 09 I think, they did make a distinction between the wheel size.. At least for my 13, the 20" wheels I have do not degrade or improve the tow rating at all.. No "*" in the owners manual or even "Trailer Life Tow Guide" on wheel size. My Max Tow package actually has the same 'tow rating' as the HD payload and the 6.2 equipped F150's.. 🙂

Go figure... 🙂

Mine's 2200 lbs with XLT and nicely optioned. Get the HD payload option with the other goodies and you'll get a number somewhere north of 2000 lb in most cases. Put's your GVWR at 8200 lbs. Two wheel drive, regular cab I believe goes to 3000 lbs or so. I think Skip's old 150 was 3000 lbs.

What's this HD payload option i keep reading about? I've tried to build a few different models to find the option and haven't seen it.
