I just ordered a 2016 f350 crewcab shortbed 4x4 lariat with 6.2 gas, 4.30 axle and 20" wheels. The build sheet states 11,300#. No snowplow prep.

It would be the 17" option on lower trim levels that reduced GVWR, not 18" or 20".

I've got a 2015 Lariat with 11500 gvwr and it includes snowplow pkg, 20 in wheels and 3.55 rear. And PSD of course. Picked it off the lot. 7000 rear, 6500 front.

I would think it's either a tire/wheel choice or a gearing choice of 3.31 vs. 3.55. The actual axles will be the same despite the rating so it's likely based on tire/wheel combo...

When I bought my F350 I was dissappointed in getting the 11,300# GVWR too. I later found out that it a tire option for a couple of hundred $ that gets it up to 11,500#. The slightly bigger but lower profile tires has a few hundred # more capacity.

Ford markets a F350 SRW 11500 GVWR truck with a 6730 RAWR and a 7000 RAWR.

Make sure your getting the heavier 7000 RAWR package for more load carrying ability regardless of a trucks GVWR number.

Just an observation, a good dealer would know why the configuration you are trying to set up comes up that way and would be able to tell you what is missing to obtain the 11.5K or what you chose to lower it.

Off the lot purchase, but mine has the snowplow pkg and 11,500 GVW.

Correct. I miss-read the document.

OP, are you ordering 17" wheels?

Some states as well as Canada look at a 11500 plus GVWR as a commercial truck and will be looking for some extra dollars if you use it for any business use.IN B.C. YOUR LIMITED TO 6 DAYS A MONTH for business use, after that you need to register it.

Probably a misprint somewhere. If the order sheet comes up 11,300, that is likely what it is. If 200 pounds is a deal breaker, then your probably too close to the limits to begin with. Get a dually!
