Been seeing allot of threads (here & other forums) about how satisfied owners of the 6.2 L are but never see any actual MPG #'s. Would like to see some real world #'s on gas mileage. So if any of you 6.2 L owners would like to list your numbers please do so. Sure a few others might be interested.

Those numbers are inline with just about all of the 3/4 + 1 ton trucks. If you need a heavy duty truck fuel economy is something you have to live with. When I got my Ram 2500 6.4L, I traded in the wife's GMC Acadia for a Chevy Volt. In the last year we have averaged about 115 mpg in the Volt. It gets close to 250 mpg in the summer and about 90 mpg in the winter. We drive the Volt most of the time...it definitely helps offset the higher fuel cost of operating the Ram. Something to think about if you are a 2 car family...

Mine is not good, I know. I have 373 gears with 35" tires. According to the computer at my Dealer the 35" tires knocked my gear ratio down to 340. I finally ordered my 430 gears. With my 35" tires the ratio would be just under 410, about 407. I am hoping the mileage will improve with less strain on the engine. When it was brand new without any mods it got 14 city/hiway combined.

My truck is very consistent with mpg. I can't get above 15 on the Hwy but I get 13 in town. After several tows of mostly single lane and town driving I get 9-10.

I just traded in my 2013 F250 6.2 with 3:73 gears for an F350 Diesel :B currently towing a Jayco 256RKS TT (GVWR 7600 lbs). The 6.2 gave me 16.5 empty on the highway, 13.6 overall combined HWY/City, and 7-10 towing depending on the terrain/wind.

I loved it, and it did a fine job towing the TT, but we are moving up to a 5er, which is why I changed. The only caveat in hindsight is I would have ordered and got the 4:30 gears. It was not, however my daily driver. If towing 8K or less, and you're driving it a lot, the 3:73's work fine. Good Luck.

Three days ago I posted about going from a5.4 F150 to a 6.2 F250.
I was on the fence about HD 150 or F250 gas.
The bottem line is the F250 gets about 1 gal less than the 150,with the same camper.
