X2 on Ft Chiswell. Have stayed overnight on several occasions in June on trips north. Nice, clean, quiet, good TV cable, GS discount, easy to fuel up at truck stops before getting back on the road. Cool enough for us to sleep with the windows open in June.

And another vote for Camp Creek. Convenient, very attractive, deer, great hosts, and modest price.

Bob Evans' Farm in Rio Grande, OH has camping for $15 per night - has water & electric and use of dump station. Nice little campground on the banks of Raccoon creek.

Dittos to Camp Creek State Park, exit 20 I-77 West Virgina.. Electric only, central water points, dump station. Several Pull-throughs. Was open year round, best check to if that is case now. Last time there Summer of 2010, bear got into trash can.

I've stayed at Ft. Chiswell RV Park more than once. Its just south of I-77/I-81 at exit 80. Close to the expressway, but over a small hill that blocks all of the noise from the truck traffic.
On my first overnight, I couldn't get the cable TV that they advertised. The owner brought his own portable TV to my site, plugged it in and got a picture. So the problem was inside my RV. He wasn't nasty about it, just helpful.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

Camp Creek State Park, in West Virginia, is just off I-77 at exit 20. It's close enough to the interstate for convenience, but far enough away to have a restful sleep. It's a very nice park with a friendly atmosphere.

If you are taking US35 from WV to US23. The Gallia County JR Fairgrounds has basic full hookups without any extras for $20 a night. You have to check in with cash or check at the trailer on the hill on the way back to the camping area.

We used the Huntington KOA last trip, I have also stayed at Rippling Waters just north of Charleston when we had the trailer. I see they offer 50amp and full hook up.
