Anyone with suggestions on the New River/Greenbrier Valley region on nice State Parks, etc. for camping/sightseeing?

When I was at Watoga years ago the campground was next to the Greenbrier River, very nice!
Time to camp.

Start with this day trip by Toad. RV if comfortable with the roads.

We like Watoga and biking the Greenbrier Rail Trail.

We loved Stonewall Resort- camping right on the lake. We also liked Pipestem and Canaan. WV is a beautiful state - wild and wonderful as advertised. Enjoy.

We always liked Pipestem Resort just 20 miles north of Princeton, Va off Hwy 77. They have lots to do there. They have full hookups which most State Campgrounds dont have - at least not around here.

At Babcock you can camp right on the river across the hwy from the lake but they dont have full hookups. Gets a bit muddy also.

We like the Battle Run Corps of Engineers park on Lake Summersville. Right off US19. Water & electric and dump station.

Go see the New River Gorge and bridge. Cass Scenic RR is about an hour drive.
