Ft. Ransom ND, if the campground is full, we'll stay in the inlaw's yard. Get the toys out and do some wheeling!

I appreciate peoples desire to avoid the crowds but around here all state CG's are full every weekend so you really don't see any difference in a holiday or normal weekend.

We boondock on busy holidays weekends and avoid all the hassles outlined above. We'll be camping at 8K' elevation just over an hour from home, riding our toys and having campfires nightly are our favorite things when boondocking.

I have made it a point to stay home on Memorial day weekend. Too many bad experiences with loud drunks for my family. However, this year I messed up and made reservations at Trillium Lake on MT Hood. We shall see.
