What kind of mileage do y'all get with your rig?? (average) What is your rig, motor, size of coach ect.?

After three years and 30,000+ miles our 2012 24' Nexus Phantom Class C with the V-10 consistently gets 9.5. We generally cruise at 60 +/- and often tow my motorcycle {bike and trailer weigh just under 1,000#}. This is including a little generator time, 55 hours in the last three years.

Every-time i read one of these mileage post i feel bad with my 2008 450-V10 four winds i never get more than 7mpg at 60mph and usually 6 i tow a CRV same towing as not where am i going wrong.This is my 6th 0r 7th MH so it must just be me.

Previous 1997 coachmen santara 30 ft with ford 460 = 6.0 to 7.0 mpg. No towing avg speed 62 mph when traveling.

Current 2008 Forest River Lexington 24 ft B+ with ford v10 = 10.8 to 11.0 mpg. No towing avg speed 62 mph.

Our 2009, 32' Class C with 2 slides on the E450 with 6.8l V10 gets between 6.5 and 9 mpg. We travel mostly along the east coast from FL to NJ, so not much in the way of hills and usually drive within a few miles of the speed limit, over or under depending on flow. Most the the states we drive through is 70 mph. Driving through the GA mountains and the mountains in SC, we get about 6.5 mpg.

Driving locally, we get about 4mpg.

Only one short road trip so far, about 250 miles each way. 18.0 up and 17.6 back (longer return with more interstate) and I run between 60 and 65 on the interstate and keep it at 55 on state roads. Real light, haven't filled it with a bunch of **** yet.

We have 2003 24ft E350 powered rig. We drive mostly interstates to national parks. Our last trip from Seattle to Yellowstone, usually traveling at the speed limit (70-73mph) we got about 9 mpgs.

Last year we had a 3000 miles round trip to the desert southeast fighting head winds both directions also traveling in the low 70mph range at about 7.5 mpgs. During the days with really strong head winds we spent hours at a time in 3rd gear (out of 4) at 70mph - about 6.5 mpgs on those tanks of gas.

Ford E350 Class C at 24ft. I average about 9.5mpg.

8.2 MPG average for the past 30,000 miles, Winnebago 29B in signature. Individual fillups can be quite variable depending on things like grades, driving speed, wind speed and direction, how much time running generator, particularly standing still. Highest has been over 12 MPG, lowest 4.9.

Just under 8 on long trips that included a lot of east coast grades and pulling a toad. Combined we're 17000 pounds.

I'm beginning to think that the 55-60 I'd been running is no better and maybe not as good as 60-65. I learned years ago with a 1998 V10 towing a fiver that faster meant less downshifts. I'm also using cruise less, unless the road is literally flat. I shoot for "60-65" and if grades take me faster or slower, oh well. There are passing lanes for that.

It's clear the 6.0 Chevy gets a little better gas mileage than the V10. I've also noticed from my experience with the fiver and what I read here: The early V10's rated 275-HP seem to get a little better highway mileage than the year 2000 and later with 305-HP.

Hi,

Class C 13700 lbs equipped with air tabs. I found a "sweet spot" at 78 kph (49 mph). I have oversize tires (taller) and I get 12.5 mpg.

CHEVY 6.0 WORKHORSE VORTEC 26Q I get a tad bit better fuel mileage than a Ford based Rig. Mine runs between 9.4 and 9.7 mpg

Ranges from 8-9 mpg at 60-62 mph, depending on terrain and wind. Our Greyhawk is 32 feet in length on the Ford E-450 chassis with the V10 and the 5-speed transmission.
