As a side note most companies will allow you to insure cars and rvs for fire and theft only when not in use. Ie war dept. And I both have minis, full time, take one with, leave one in storage. Cost goes to $12.00 month. We turn the insurance on with a phone call. However you can only do it twice a year.

We've had our coach insured by Foremost Insurance Co. now for 19 years. Over the years we've enjoyed prompt hassle free claim service with no premium increases.

Highly recommend Foremost

Good luck with your choice & safe travels:)

I use Foremost. I have not had any claims but they have been good to work with and their prices are good.

We have Allied Insurance, a division of Nationwide. The policy was purchased through FCIS in Forest City, IA. FCIS is an excellent company from whom to purchase RV insurance. The rate was almost half that of GEICO our previous insurer even though I had two claims within six months, one for blowouts the other for stupidity. The Allied coverage is equal to or better than GEICO.

Last time around, no one could beat State Farm and only deal with companies that cover all of our vehicles. Sometimes they might have a co carrier that they contract with, but still handle it all.
Insurance is like everything else and you have to shop around every three years or so, to get the best price. Mostly no one, cares about their existing customers, by comparison with attracting new business and this includes other services, as well.

We too have GS (comenity) and so far no claims and no increases. They do have the "storage" feature so that you can store your rv during the winter months and only have to pay for comprehensive (as long as your lien holder goes along with it). We also store two of our three vehicles during the summer months with only comprehensive. This feature saves us 3 to 4 hundred a year.

I have Good Sam and received a 35% increase at my renewal this month. If you take them have a backup for next time. Oh I have only had them 1 year and no claims

We have GS insurance and so far we have not needed it so cannot speak to their handling of claims. Our renewal will be in July so we will see what they do for an increase.
