What is the average age of someone towing a travel trailer?

Well I guess I am below the average age, but bought my first TT last august at 21 Years old. Will be 22 in a week.

Tent camped as a kid. Lived out of a pickup topper a year of my late teens. DW and I had a couple pickup overhead campers over the years, but bought our first TT in '92. Graduated to a 5er in '03, and now on the second fifthwheel. I'm 58 and only weekend as I am still working.

We bought our first Class C in the min 70s and have been RVing ever since. I'm 73 and DW is 72. We spend most of the year in our Truck Camper.

So what are the results of your poll?

I started with my parents in tents in the 50s & 60s, up graded to TT & tent in 70s & 80s, in the 90s we camped in cabins & tents, in the early 2000s we camped in a Class “C”, and currently we are camping in a 5er. Whole lifetimes of memories were made with family and friends while camping.

I'm 37, wife is 35. We bought our first rv a year ago. Tent camped for 13 years before that. I grew up rving though with my folks from when I was about 5 until I was 18. We have kids that are 7 and 10. We are definitely on the young end from what I see in USFS and NPS service campgrounds in NW Wyoming.

Once last summer at a very nice CG I'm pretty sure we were the only ones there not getting the geezer rate.:B

54 started 20 years ago with a pop up then 22 ft trailer then a 27 ft class c then a 30 foot class A now a 36 ft Winnebago .

I'm 48, my gal is 57. We bought our first RV about 4 months ago.
I grew up camping - tent, pup, Class C. After leaviing home when I was 17, it's been tent camping. Backpacking, cars, pick-ups and motorcycles. Last year, after tent camping together for 15 years, we tried the back of my van a few times, and that got old quick. I imagine we'll have some sort of RV until it's physically impossible.

We are both 52 and started with a Bonair popup when we were 21, now with a Truck camper. Bonair is still alive and son will be using it this season. He is 27, and our oldest daughter is looking for a T.T. our three other kids are all diehard tent campers. My children grew up camping and all of them started when they were only a couple of months old.

I'm 63 and dw is 66. We didn't start rving until about two years ago. I'm frankly surprised at all the youngsters on here. Good for you guys. All I see at parks are old farts

I am 27 and dw is 25. We are on our second tt in two years. Before that I tent camped for as long as I can remember.

My husband is 42 and has been towing trailers, boats, horse trailers etc since he was about 14. I am 42 but have only towed a tent trailer and our utility trailer, once each. Our kids have both been towing since they were about 17 so I am the newbie.

We started out as tent campers and got our first TT last year.

I camped all over the country with my parents in a popup right up until I graduated high school and moved out.
