I have a 40 foot RV with carpet and I want to replace that with either laminate or planking type material. The unit has 3 slide outs. Looking for advise as how to proceed and what I need to know about possible problems (i.e., scratching the floor wh...

Slab sinking

I have a relatively new concrete slab that is about 23 by 13'. It is built on a bit of a grade with coordinated drainage pipe underneath. It really is two pieces, 12x13 each. I noticed the side closer to the slope sunk about 1/4" to *gasp* 1/2" near t...

A spare wheel might be harder to source than you think!

Most new motorhomes don't come with a spare tire. My first Class A motorhome did, a 1999 Bounder, and it was tucked up under the chassis. The disadvantage to not carrying a spare is a flat tire can ruin a vacation. My last Class A, a 2015 Forest R...

Ants in the RV a good thing for once

Long story short: occasional whiffs of propane for months. We're parked in FL and when ants got into the cats' kibble we decided to do something about it. I couldn't get under the RV (at least that's what I told DW) to spray so when she was under the...

Locked Out...Sorta

So I picked up my new trailer yesterday and it never fails that little things pop up as you spend time in it. This trailer has two doors, the back being the main entrance. The front door opens fine from the inside. I thought everything was in worki...

“New” vs.”Old” Ovens
