A squirrel made a nest in our Air Conditioner and even got inside the RV. DH wants to shoot it but isnt there another way to get rid of a squirrel?

Do what we do in our church: baptize him, make him a member, and you'll never see him again...

Ferrets smell but i knw/knew several Folks that owned them. they are playful.
They would get every rat or mouse and squirrel. I bet some RVers have one for a pet.
Show him the scent and let her rip.

The only good limb rat is a dead limb rat. Shoot the sucker.

Had one of the little suckers get into the engine compartment of a Suburban I owned. He ate the wireing to the tune of $300 damage. After a lot of research I mixed up a spray bottle of 1/8 dishwash soap 3/8 water and 1/2 Hot Sauce (Texas Pete) spray on everything you don't want them on. when it dries, the soap makes it sticky and the sauce sticks to thier feet. They don't like it! they will stop coming around. Warning - it's caustic. The aluminum parts of my motor looked like theyed been dipped in acid. Real pitted. Had a hard time explaining to the buyer that it hadn't been in a flood. Dang squirrel also bit into the rubber part of my LP gas line. I always envisioned his little cheeks blowing out...

Just don't put two or more in the same trap / container for transport or you will see one hell of a fight / bloody mess. My dad was catching some once and hauling them to a local park. Decided to save a trip and held one in a box overnight, then caught another, and dumped both in the same container for transport. Freaked my mom out. they fought to the death, or at least one of them did! I did not see it but heard the story several times, not a pretty sight. They obviously were not friends.

I had a male squirrel attack, and kill, another male squirrel in my yard. It was about 8 feet from my picture window. I heard a really strange high pitched screaming outside. I looked outside and watched the fight.

Just a reminder to careful when you shoot it. And when you are shooting it, keep the old safety adage in mind, "It's all fun and games until a squirrel loses a nut.

Whatever you do, maybe you should watch the movie "Caddy Shack" first. Not about a squirrel but can be a tutorial on what not to do.

Many times you can borrow a tap from the local animal control folks and trap it. I got one to get squirrels once and years later got one to tap feral cats. Took the squirrels about 10 miles out of town to a wooded area. If you don't take them pretty far away they come home. The cats I turned over to ANIMAL control. If you cannot borrow a tap they can be purchased at a Tractor Supply store - not cheap

A live trap is the lest messy way to get out of the RV. But, of it got inside through the AC you better pull the cover off and check in there. I bet you are going to find damage that you are going to need to repair. Sucks.

Yep the only way is in I would think would be thru the metal covering over the Evap coil and with a hole your A/C efficiency will be in the dumps. I still have a hard time seeing how he go in from the outside, but I guess it's possible.

I'm not sure on RV Air Conditioners but, many household window mount units only have Styrofoam around the Evap coil and no metal at all.
