No, not a driver equipped dolly. I used to see them on I-5 between Auburn and Everett, carrying 747 wing spars to the final assembly building. IIRC, they had tandem axles (with duals) on the rear, and a steerable axle (single tires) in front, and a very visible "cockpit" in the middle. I guess one could say they were a "6X0"; 6 wheels, none capable of being powered!
If the dolly had been steerable, the incident might not have occurred.
I find it interesting that the tie-downs on the dolly failed so readily, but the tie-downs on the tractor did NOT fail, but the weight of the beam rolled the tractor over!

I think I'll be thankful for social networks when I'm in a nursing home. I always wanted my dad to do that but he wouldn't have any part of it.

Navegator, you're sounding like my Mom, when she was 80. At 82, she finally put aside her reservations about Facebook, got an account and appreciates seeing a bit more about what her brother, his family, her kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews are up to. She doesn't post much but is happy she took the plunge.

Safe travels.

Wow. Amazing! It's amazing the folks taking the video did not get hit, squashed, or rear-end the thing when it stopped so sudden. Good photography I must admit!

Looks to be from a Dash Cam, cheapest insurance you can buy for those idiot drivers out there.

Hit the end of the Jersey barrier.
It looks like some sort of railings on the road.

How would you align a dolly like that?
