ALSO - I didn't dig through the WHOLE forum to see if this has been mentioned yet, but we keep a couple headlamps in the camper. I love having my hands free, and decent light around me. If someone pulls out of an RV spot early our dogs decide they HAVE TO GO OUT and potty...even if it's 3 am. So.. out we go, and the head lamp is just the best to keep my hands free since I have two dogs on leashes.
In my family, that is called the "poop hat". We regularly go up to a friend's cabin in Vermont - rustic, no power, gravity fed spring well. Yes, it has an outhouse! At night it is VERY dark, so I always bring a cap with one of those small cap lights clipped to it. Very convenient, and it has gotten to the point that we always bring it along on trips now. And my friend who owns the cabin even bought one, after of course making fun of me.
These lights can be found at most any hardware or home depot so you need not shop at WM
Actually, when I think about it, we have about half a dozen of similar cap lights in the house and vehicles. There are all about the same, below is an example:

You're WELCOME everyone!
I have purchased those little solar lights for as cheap as $1.00 on close out. After this weekend (Labor Day) Walmart usually has some patriotic ones they clear out.
I have questioned taking a terracotta pot long (just something to break). Kitty litter in a container would hold it easily. If you're at a beach just use sand. If I wasn't worried about adding more weight to our entourage I would pour a little QuickCrete into a small container (like a margarine container) with a piece of appropriate sized PVC pipe down in it. After it's cured just tip it out, paint it and there ya go. Then you can just slide the stem of the solar light down into the PVC pipe, and the take it out when you break camp. Awhile back we were mixing up concrete for a project. Hub poured the leftover wet cement into a couple margarine containers and put eye bolts into the top. I have used those little gems so much! Perfect size and I can tie things to them. We are going to celebrate one of our grandson's birthdays today, and I'll toss it in to anchor helium balloons to.

That's funny, where we live in Oregon, we always joke that they way you can tell a tourist is that they are the ones walking around with the umbrellas.
We keep a baseball hat, a hoodie, and a rain jacket for each family member in the trailer at all times.

I have thought about that too, but the holes in the bottoms of the flower pots are not big enough for my lights to down through. Other than drilling them out (which I cannot do) and ideas on how to get this to work for me?
Thanks, Okie
