Tried fresh cab ( now marketed as stay away for mice) under hood of TV 2 packs next to the batteries, changed every* 5-6 weeks, truck was parked in garage. Mice chewed the tops of both batteryโs insulators inches from the stay away packets. In car they continue to nest under the hood liner. I run 3 bucket traps that I constantly catch mice in
* Instructions of stay away says good up to 2months
Fresh cab & stay away just doesnโt work for me and itโs $$$

Donโt work. The electric things donโt work, nothing does . Must seal any opening bigger than a dime.
I am fighting mice in a cabin I have in the woods.
Tried peppermint, mothballs ,oils, steel wool. poison, traps. Iโm not there f/t but a cat is a good choice.
There are down sides to traps and poisons as rotting carcasses really stink up a area.
Fresh Cab works, and doesn't smell horrible. I wouldn't say it smells great but it's tolerable. It was taken off the market by the manufacturer late last year but it's back. They didn't really have a clear explanation but I've read it was an issue with one of their suppliers related to the EPA-certification of the ingredients. I'm hoping they didn't change the formula because it does work.

I put several bars of irish spring out because I heard the same thing. The bars got all chewed up. I guess the mice like the taste of a spring day in Ireland.

I used a couple dryer sheets in my snowmobile a few summers ago. In the fall i found them as a base for their nest.
Also, based on experience.... NEVER USE MOTH BALLS. holy ****, it took most of the summer for that smell to go away.

we tried the Bounce sheets and Irish Spring thingy several years back. Mice made a nest from the sheets so I guess the soap trick didn't work for us either.
