If $80 for a lifetime pass is really too much, there is a senior annual pass available for $10/year

Pretty sure the annual senior pass will be $20 and after four consecutive years it can be traded for a lifetime pass.

There are still a bit over two hours left to buy online for those eligible. The online site says delivery could be three months but your receipt works until then.

Geez, its really not!!!
This is a one time cost; not an annual cost, i.e. a life time pass.
Yes, it really is, a 700% increase at one time, in anything is a big jump, BUT, you're right, it is still a good deal.

I got one at the Wright Memorial this summer. was cheaper to buy than to pay to get in. Thing is. That is the first NP in my life that I have ever been charged to get into.

They do charge for camping on the BRP. But the pass as far as I know. Doesn't cover camping fees, or does it?

Most of the time you will get a 50 percent discount on camping fees.

I think the original $10 was way too low to begin with and an $80 lifetime pass is still a bargain. When I finally make it to eligibility it will be the first thing on the list.:D

Bought one last week st FS office in Newport WA. They gave me a voucher and said the card will be mailed to me. No reason you should have to return to the place you bought it just to pick it up.
